1961 Lincoln Continental Sedan, Triple Black

1961 Lincoln Continental Sedan triple black, current owner since May 2021. This is a California/Arizona car with less than 100,000 original miles. This was the personal daily driver of Gary Meador, the founder of the Good Guys car shows, I purchased it from his son Mark 5 years ago after Gary passed away.
Since I have owned it, it has never been driven in the rain. There was a full body respray about 11 years ago and it still looks very good. All the chrome trim is unblemished by any rust or dents, and the body panels are dead straight.
The engine is the original MEL 430, I am told it was rebuilt when the body was done. The Title is clear and DMV registration up to date. the windows are tinted.
Last summer, 2024, I had a lot of work done to her- full radiator and cooling system replacement with large aluminum radiator, new hoses and water pump. These old cars don't like to sit idling in the heat in traffic jams, and the radiator replacement has helped this situation very much. New tires with gangster whitewalls installed, extensive rebuilding of suspension parts, new battery, new Dakota Digital dashboard. I had the power steering pump replaced 3 years ago.
The exhaust system is very clean, with dual exhausts, and suspension has been lowered a bit. I had a full custom sound system built by Junior's Car Stereo of Fremont, one of the premier car stereo shops in the East Bay, which includes 2 tweeters in the kick panels, 2 mid range speakers behind the back seat, and 2 woofers in the trunk with custom cabinets. The sound is phenomenal. There is a custom console under the dash housing a hands free Bluetooth, high wattage stereo, with Sirius XM./AM/FM. The interior is black leather, with a perfect headliner and back seats, there is some wear in the driver's seat.
But the most notable feature of this car are the Boyd Coddington 18" Custom Wheels- one piece bespoke hand turned aluminum, these are almost impossible to find. Gary Meador was best friends with Boyd Coddington, who did the wheels for him. This car (LOOCFER) has been shown extensively at the Good Guys Car Shows in Pleasanton, as well as Nostalgia Days in Livermore and the Niles (Fremont) Hot Car days and other venues. It has been in Christmas parades and other events. It is well known in the San Francisco East Bay area, and we are a member of the Altamont Cruisers Car Club, and the Suicide Slabs Car Club. It is a blast to cruise around and have people honking, waving and generally having a good time. I am selling her because I want someone else to enjoy her, and I plan on doing more traveling. This is a great car with a great Provenance.
