This is a 100% turn-key car needing nothing at all to begin enjoying it right away. Extraordinary 3-stage pearl white paint with pinstripes recreated correctly under the clearcoat. It is spectacular. The other significant departure from factory original specification is the Edelbrock 4bbl intake and carburetor (with stock appearance engine bay). She starts with a touch of the key every time, idles, accelerates, cruises the highway, stops, and turns exactly as it should with no vibrations, no noises, no smells, no worries.
The interior has been transformed from moderately worn to new condition. Absolutely everything was removed, thoroughly cleaned, repaired as necessary, and recolored in the correct factory white. The halo panel was repaired to last forever, all carpets shampooed and in perfect condition, even the leather wrapped dash was restored to erase some mild fading and a few scratches. All woodgrain surfaces on switch housing, ashtray lids, map pocket panel, screw covers, etc are also restored with correct laminated vinyl decals. The steering wheel assembly is nearly flawless with beautiful inlaid woodgrain strip on the rim and restored horn pad...there is one chip in the black border piece surrounding the cruise control trim plate, touched up and hard to notice.
I'm having a little trouble getting the passenger side mirror adjustment to work smoothly, still workin on it. That's it for functional needs, everything else works perfectly, even the clock and Miles To Empty gauge. Windows with the mini-vent option go up and down smoothly, both 6-way power seat adjustments are working, both power locks, all lights, switches, etc..no issues.
Very few options were available for the Collector's Series as most were included already. Three significant options that are often missing though are the power sliding moonroof, thermometer equipped driver's side mirror, and factory integrated CB radio. This car has all three. The leather tool kit and owner's manual binder are both like new (binder is NOS), and an NOS garage door opener kit is also included. Thousands worth of additional NOS parts have been substituted inside and out. Complete dual exhaust is new. Chrome is very good throughout and includes some NOS body side moldings.
Sharp eyed observers will notice the gold wheels with white bodyside moldings and black bumper guards. These moldings normally went with the midnight blue wheels. This combination of factory correct specs offers the most attractive overall appearance in my humble opinion. Tons of additional pictures and video are available.
