Seeking the owner/driver of a well-maintained 1966 full-size American convertible to drive two sisters on a once-in-a-lifetime Route 66 journey celebrating the road's 100th anniversary. The trip would follow historic Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica and be on the road 10 days beginning 9/2/26 and ending 9/11/26.
Ideally the car would be a Lincoln Continental because of the back seat legroom, but open to a Cadillac DeVille, Buick Electra 225, Pontiac Bonneville, Chrysler New Yorker, or Imperial.
We are specifically looking for:
- A true 1966 model
- A comfortable full-size convertible suitable for two passengers in the back seat
- A well- functioning air conditioner
- An experienced driver who is also mechanically knowledgeable enough to handle common roadside issues if needed
All trip expenses will be covered for the driver, including hotels, meals, fuel, airfare, and vehicle trailering plus driver compensation (to be discussed with driver).
This trip is especially meaningful because 2026 marks the anniversary of Route 66, and one of the sisters turned 66 this year, so the ‘66 car is a key part of the theme. We would love to find an enthusiast who would genuinely enjoy being part of the experience as well.
