If there is one national meet that you will want to be sure to attend, it is the September 2019 Eastern National Meet in Dutchess County, New York in the historic Hudson Valley. The Hudson Valley region is rich in beautiful scenery, iconic estates, presidential homes, a renowned culinary school, and numerous other interesting historic sites.
On Thursday, September 19, the Eastern National Meet will begin with a historic driving tour of the region, stopping to visit such sites as Frederick Vanderbilt’s garage and unique automobiles, Franklin D. Roosevelt’s home and church, and a historic cemetery. You will have the opportunity to get your automobile photographed in front of one of the prettiest estates in the area. On Friday, September 20, there will be optional tours to choose from as well as the mechanical judging, silent auction, and the evening buffet at a local private club overlooking the Hudson River. One of the Friday options will include a tour and hands-on cooking demo at the world-famous Culinary Institute of America (CIA). On Saturday, September 21, the judging will take place on the campus of the Culinary Institute with more time to explore the campus. Not only will the show field be at the Culinary Institute on Saturday, but it will also be the location of our final banquet and celebration of our LCOC Eastern National Meet Saturday evening. If you have not been to the CIA or had the opportunity to dine in any of their restaurants, you will surely be in for a special treat and an evening to remember.
Reserve these dates now for September 2019 and plan to explore the “Historic Hudson Valley.” Registration will begin in March 2019.
